Hello my name is Bobbi White, I provide mental health and wellness services to support the individuals I serve. I aim to share information and assist overall wellness with the oyate of the Pine Ridge Reservation.
My Lakota name is Ta oyate owicakiya, Helps her people. I am a proud member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, I was raised here on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
Educational Background
I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in American Indian Studies, from South Dakota State University. I furthered my academic pursuits by completing a dual Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, both from South Dakota State University. I hold my professional license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Dakota. Additionally, I am a recognized National Certified Counselor (NCC).

My approach to counseling aligns best with Person-Centered therapy. Through this theory, you come as you are and the counselor meets you where you are. The major roles I take on as the counselor are to be genuine, show unconditional positive regard, and empathetic understanding.

Available for Wellness events and presentations that break down mental health concepts by means of fun activities and interactive teaching and healing opportunities; whether it is yoga and meditation sessions or a nutrition workshop.
